YourGemologist.com, a new gemological reference and study site, is now operational and available as a free service to the jewelry trade as well as consumers. The site offers information on a wide variety of gemstones and minerals that includes photographs, consumer shopping information, and gemological testing information. The site also offers gemology study sections covering gemstone formation, crystal systems, synthetic gemstones, gemstone treatments, gemstone identification, diamond grading, gemological testing equipment, and gemstone phenomena. It also features special demonstrations of gemstones for students and teachers.
