Jewelry designer Wendy Tabb was the winner of the Rising Star Award from Fashion Group International at its fourth annual awards ceremony, held Feb. 26 in New York City. Tabb won in the accessories category.
Tabb’s designs have been featured in a number of high-profile fashion publications, industry press, and newsmagazines, and her jewelry is owned by such personalities as Cindy Crawford, Kirsten Dunst, and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Tabb studied fine arts at UCLA and continued her education at Parsons School of Design in New York City. She received a degree in sculpture but made a transition to jewelry and in 1998 launched her own line of handmade jewelry.
