Aron Knobloch Inc., a New York City-based wholesale supplier of diamonds, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Marc Knobloch, the company’s vice president, grew up with the family business and remembers helping out during school vacations, “doing menial tasks, making deliveries, learning to sort.”
The company was founded in Europe by the late Aron Knobloch, who emigrated from Belgium to the United States in 1950. The company is now run by the second and third generations of Knoblochs, Fred and Marc, respectively.
“My grandfather’s idea—offering finely made round and fancy shaped diamonds—still works,” says Knobloch. “It’s nice to know an idea can last 50 years and still be going strong.”
