Day Two—”The Rise or Demise of the Expert Appraiser” by Donald Palmieri; “Identifying Makers and Fakers of Mexican Jewelry” by Christie Romero; “The Future of Cut Grading of Diamonds” by AGA lab director Peter Yantzer. Day Three—”The Advanced Gemology Symposium” conducted at GIA’s Carlsbad campus. The grand finale hands-on workshop, adapted specifically for ASA, features Dr. James Shigley.
