Syratech Corp., a provider of giftware products to specialty retailers, department stores, and major discount retailers, has named Brenda Goodell senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Goodell will spearhead all marketing and advertising initiatives.

Bill Fry has been appointed vice president of Eisinger Enterprises Inc., a supplier of jewelry manufacturing tools, equipment, and supplies. Fry has more than two decades of experience serving the jewelry industry and will be based out of company’s Newark, N.J., office.

The Nu-Era Group welcomes Gena Vonderschmidt as a public relations and business development associate. Vonderschmidt is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo.

Jay Berns is Alfieri & St. John’s new sales agent for the eastern part of the United States. He has 13 years’ experience as a sales and management executive with the Movado Group.

Gannon & Scott, refiners and assayers of precious metals, has named Matthew J. Fischer sales director of the Cranston, R.I.-based company. He comes to Gannon & Scott from the Westbury Metals Group, where he was vice president of manufacturing. Wolf Designs has expanded its national sales force through a partnership with The Southern Link, a team of 26 sales professionals working in the southeastern United States.

W.A.C. Lighting Co. has appointed Dave Lombardo and John Pilato to its product support department and customer sales and service department, respectively. Prior to joining W.A.C., Lombardo served as a distributor sales representative for Computer Associates in Islandia, N.Y. Pilato was previously a sales representative for a major industrial building materials supply house.

Piaget has appointed Suzanne Laurita to the position of vice president of marketing for Piaget North America. Laurita joined the company in March 2002 and is responsible for all marketing, customer service, and product activities for Piaget’s retail and wholesale network.

Carolyn Marquez has joined Goldstein Communications as vice president of the fashion and beauty division. The company specializes in the luxury goods market, with clients including Henry Dunay, Faberge, The Robb Report, Cathy Carmendy, and the Couture Collection and Conference. Michael O’Connor is the company’s new vice president of marketing and public relations. He has more than 22 years of experience in the jewelry industry in areas including design, merchandising, manufacturing, customer service and training, marketing, advertising, and public relations.

Cartier Inc. has named Ampapan Chislett manager of the company’s Seattle, Wash., boutique located in Pacific Place. Chislett, who began her career with Cartier 12 years ago as a sales associate in the Hawaii boutique, will be responsible for daily operations as well as continuing Cartier’s involvement in various philanthropic and arts-related activities within the community.
