The American Society of Jewelry Historians will offer a full day seminar, “Dating and Authenticating Georgian and Victorian Jewelry,” on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, in New York City. The seminar is intended for a broad audience including jewelry collectors, appraisers, dealers, jewelers, curators, and anyone who loves antique jewelry.

Dr. Jack Ogden, an internationally recognized expert on the development of jewelry materials, technology, and authenticity, will teach the seminar. He is the founder of the Society of Jewellery Historians in Great Britain, and is well known as a writer, lecturer, and consultant.

Tuition for the seminar is $165 ($140 for ASJH members) and includes a set of lecture notes, a welcome breakfast, and a hot buffet lunch. The seminar will be held at The Town Club, 9 E. 86th St., New York City, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Advance registration and payment is required.
