The world’s largest manufacturer of full-cut crystal is helping women fight breast cancer by donating $20,000 from the sale of its newest item, the Pink Hope Pin, to the Libby Ross Foundation. Swarovski’s contribution is earmarked specifically for Yoga Workshops for Survivors of Breast Cancer and Other Women’s Cancers as well as for the Pink Ribbon gift bag program. In addition, Swarovski donated 100 Pink Hope Pins to the Libby Ross Foundation’s Third Annual Black Tie Gala, held Oct. 19 in New York City.
Designed by Tom Palmer and created in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), Swarovski’s Pink Hope Pin features a brilliant crystallized open-heart design with a pink pave ribbon overlay. Each is individually handcrafted, plated with fine gold and pure rhodium, and holds 57 crystal stones.
The Libby Ross Foundation was founded in 1999 in memory of Elizabeth “Libby” Ross, who lost her battle with breast cancer on July 24, 1998.
