Jacques Etoile, a German luxury mechanical watch brand, is expanding into the North American market. The company, based in Lorrach, Germany, was founded in 1996 by master watchmaker Klaus Jakob, himself the son of a master watchmaker. Jacques Etoile watches use rare movements from the golden age of handcrafted movement production—such as the Venus 175 column-wheel chronograph or the Unitas 6300, a rare center seconds caliber—restored and reworked to modern criteria. The watches will be sold exclusively through selected fine-watch retailers.
Representing Jacques Etoile Watches in the United States is Steven Walker of DECHUSA Watches, who also represents Limes, another German watch brand. All Jacques Etoile watches sold in the United States are covered by a U.S. warranty. The brand has a service and repair facility in Southern California.
