This past week celebrities and special guests were given the opportunity to receive jewelry and other gifts at two high-profile nationally televised events.
At the American Idol finals on Tuesday and Wednesday, celebrities and judges, including Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell, and host Ryan Seacrest, were able to select gifts that included the Lois Hill line of handcrafted sterling jewelry inspired by ancient metalworking techniques.
Televised on Fox, the finals were held at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, the 2003 VH1 Divas Duets was held at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino where performers such as Celine Dion, Lisa Marie Presley, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce Knowles, Jewel, Whitney Houston, and host Queen Latifah were able to take home gifts that included Charriol diamond and amethyst bracelets and Jenstone belts.
Charriol, which designs cable bracelets inspired by the ancient Celts, has recently expanded its classic collection with Celtic Noir. Jenstone belts, designed by Malibu designer Jennifer Serig, are handcrafted from pristine Swarovski crystals.
While waiting for rehearsals show appearance at both events, judges and finalists were thanked for their time and talent by being given the opportunity to select specific gifts they wish to receive from product lines being offered by participating donor companies. The gifts range from hotel accommodations, fashion accessories, and hi-tech products.
The gifts are presented in a custom-designed “Talent Retreats.” The retreat and the selection of gifts were created and organized by Backstage Creations, Santa Monica, Calif., a company that specializes in giving major corporations and up-and-coming designers the exclusive opportunity to personally introduce their products and services to celebrities at industry events.
