The “GIA on Diamond Cut” series is now available for download in PDF files through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Web site at www.gia.edu.

The articles present summaries and discussions of foundational material related to the GIA cut study as well as information from the fields of gemology, physics, optics, computer modeling, and diamonds. Past topics include the “four Cs,” diamond optics, Marcel Tolkowsky, the scientific method, and the graphic presentation of information.
