Mirabelle 18K, the Los Angeles Division of Techline Jewelry Corp., will be the exclusive designer of the new Elton John Jewelry Collection during his upcoming three-year engagement at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Mirabelle is designing a series of fine-jewelry creations utilizing the show’s theme, a ruby-red grand piano.
Beginning this month, Grammy winner and Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee Elton John will team up with the gaming giant to appear in the 4,000-seat Colosseum at the landmark Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. John will receive a reported $54 million to perform 75 shows from 2004 to 2007. The show is called “The Red Piano.”
Mirabelle created pendants, pins, and bracelets with detailed piano designs that personify the gifted artist, says Jack Abramov, vice president of Mirabelle, designers of “The Original Handbag Collection.”
This is the second major joint project of Techline Corp. and Park Place Entertainment, operator of the Bally’s, Caesars, Paris, Flamingo, Grand, and Hilton brands. Mirabelle created and designed a gold-and-diamond jewelry line for Celine Dion’s concert engagement, “A New Day,” which debuted last March at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The designs echoed Celine Dion’s “Silhouette” logo, which was used to promote the concerts. “People want to be a part of history, and to see Elton John in the Colosseum at Caesars will be an important and memorable moment for people fortunate enough to get tickets,” says Mirabelle designer Monty Abramov. “Many people remember events on a vacation by purchasing jewelry.”
Mirabelle also is creating a line of Elton John men’s jewelry including piano cufflinks and bracelets in several styles and colors.
