GemFest Asia participants will hear the latest details of the Gemological Institute of America’s research into diamond cut Monday, Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., when executives and other representatives of the Institute discuss the ongoing study’s results. The free event is organized in conjunction with the Hong Kong Jewellery & Watch Fair and will be held in room 301B of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Immediately afterwards, attendees are invited to a one-hour reception in room 301A to celebrate GIA Hong Kong’s 10th anniversary.

GIA President William E. Boyajian will be moderator at GemFest Asia, while Thomas M. Moses, the GIA Gem Laboratory’s vice president of Identification and Research Services, will present the latest developments from GIA’s diamond cut research.

A panel of industry experts will also be present to answer questions and discuss the topics covered, and GIA alumni who attend will receive six Carat Points.
