SII Marketing International, a division of the Seiko Group, has signed a license agreement with Perry Ellis International to make and distribute its men’s and women’s watches. The line, called Perry Ellis Chronology, will be sold under the Perry Ellis, Perry Ellis Portfolio, and Perry Ellis America brands.

“This is an excellent opportunity for Perry Ellis [which has been absent from the watch market for several years] to re-enter the marketplace in this product category,” said George Feldenkreis, chairman and CEO of Perry Ellis International, a leading designer, distributor and licensor of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, and fragrances.

The watches will be launched in time for 2004’s year-end holiday season and be distributed through jewelry stores and department stores.
