Rembrandt Charms announced the appointment of Mary Mendola as customer service manager. Mendola’s responsibility will include overseeing the day-to-day activities of RQC’s customer service call center. Platinum Guild International USA (PGI-USA) has appointed Michelle Peranteau as marketing communications manager. Peranteau will be responsible for the development and execution of PGI-USA’s communications programs as well as the development of merchandising point-of-purchase materials. She will also manage PGI’s consumer research, awareness, and tracking studies and be responsible for ensuring compliance of all materials with PGI’s international’s brand image.
Kassoy announced the appointments of Fred Figueroa and David Kleinman to its sales staff at Kassoy’s Showroom, 28 W. 47th St. Figueroa, formerly with Rubin and Son, recently had been manager of the GIA Bookstore in New York City and brings an extensive knowledge of tools and gemological equipment to Kassoy. Kleinman is a certified computer professional who will demonstrate the latest technological innovations to Kassoy’s clientele. Greg L. Clapper, president of Wright & Lato Inc. announced the appointments of Fred Racioppi to vice president-general manager and John Capriglione to vice president, operations. Both were previously employed by Krementz Co. and have been associated with Wright & Lato for the last seven years.
Robert E. Bouchard has joined Gannon & Scott as a regional manager. A graduate of Providence College, he is a member of the New England Chapter of the International Precious Metals Institute and the Providence Jewelers Club.
Florian Weingärtner has been named director of marketing and communications for business division II, consumer goods fairs, at Messe München GmbH.
