July was a big month for high-profile celebrity weddings, and most couples chose platinum, which continues to be the precious metal of choice for the bridal category. Among the celebrity marriages solemnized with platinum were those of actress Tori Spelling to Charlie Shanian, actor Dennis Quaid to Kimberly Buffington, and The Bachelor‘s Bob Guiney to All My Children actress Rebecca Budig.
For Tori Spelling’s much publicized Beverly Hills wedding, the bride, her bridal party, and even the groom sported 1920s-inspired platinum and diamond jewelry exclusively by Neil Lane. Spelling wore a platinum and diamond flower headband to accompany her veil, as well as platinum and diamond drop earrings and bracelet. The groom sported platinum, onyx, and diamond cufflinks, and each of Spelling’s 12 bridesmaids wore custom-made platinum and diamond floral earrings.
Dennis Quaid exchanged wedding vows with bride Kimberly Buffington as the couple exchanged platinum and diamond bands by Anthony Nak. Buffington’s engagement ring is a 3-ct. canary yellow trilliant-cut diamond set in platinum with white micro-pavé diamonds on the band and prongs. The bride’s platinum wedding band is an exact replica of the engagement ring band. Quaid’s ring is a platinum band in matte finish, and set inside the ring is a trilliant-cut canary diamond that matches Buffington’s stone.
Bob Guiney and Rebecca Budig’s wedding ceremony also featured platinum, with the groom opting for a platinum cuff instead of a traditional wedding ring.
