The American Assay & Gemological Office, New York, announces the appointment of Donna Beaton as manager of gemological laboratory services/senior gemologist, and Donna DeLucia as its director of sales.

Before joining AA&GO, Beaton was senior gemologist at the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) gemological testing center in New York for five years, specializing in colored stones and pearls. Her breadth of experience in the industry also includes staff positions with Tiffany & Co., Fred Leighton, and Phillips Auction Gallery. She is an active member of the GIA Alumni Association (Manhattan chapter); Women’s Jewelry Association; Golden Circle Club of New York and American Society of Jewelry Historians.

With more than 15 years of professional sales experience in the industry, DeLucia’s background also includes retail sales management with Robbins Diamonds in Newark, Delaware, one of the largest engagement ring and wedding band showrooms on the East coast. She will be responsible for sales efforts in support of all AA&GO Quality Assurance Services, including both precious metal testing and AnchorCert Gem Identification Services. She is a Diamond Council of America Certified Diamontologist and has received numerous sales achievement awards for her outstanding performance in diamond engagement ring sales. She’s an active member of Women’s Jewelry Association; Southern Jewelers Trade Association; Jewelers of America (Kentucky Chapter).
