Prismax, the U.S. distributor for the Hot Diamonds brand of sterling silver and diamond jewelry, has hired Shawn Stockman to fill the newly created position of chief marketing officer. Stockman has 15 years of marketing experience in various industries.

April Scorcia has been appointed executive vice president of the Ladies’ Jewelry Division of The Colibri Group. Scorcia had been executive vice president of Helen Andrews Inc. and also worked for Zale Corporation for 11 years.

Kwiat has retained Janice DeBell, a 20-year veteran of jewelry retailer Tiffany & Co., as the brand’s new director of design. DeBell has over 25 years of design experience, including a stint at Harry Winston.

Cartier has promoted Anthony Ledru to assistant vice president of accessories and fragrance for Cartier and Montegrappa brands. Ledru most recently was director of accessories for Cartier & Montegrappa brands.

Luxury pen maker Conway Stewart has appointed Mary Burke as market development executive with its U.S. distributor, Luxury Brands. Her responsibilities include developing sales of the company’s pens through multiple retail channels across the United States.

Harry Winston has announced several appointments:

Peter Schneirla has been appointed vice chairman of Harry Winston and vice president of Aber Diamond Corporation. Schneirla is responsible for merchandising, manufacturing, and gemstone acquisition.

Jim Seuss has been appointed president of retail and wholesale. Seuss began his career in luxury retailing at Tiffany & Co in 1989, where he helped build the company’s international business.

Ray Simpson has been appointed chief operating officer of Harry Winston and vice president of corporate development at Aber Diamond Corporation. Simpson was the head of business development at De Beers from 1986 to 2001 and helped establish the De Beers LV retail operation.

Robert Scott will continue as chief financial officer of Harry Winston. Scott joined the company in 1991.

Susan Korb has been appointed chief marketing officer. She was formerly the president of Assouline, the international publishing company.

Charles Stanley has been appointed vice president of market development at Harry Winston and director of market research at Aber Diamond Corporation. Stanley is responsible for developing the company’s strategic growth plans and market research.

Hearts On Fire has promoted Gilly Strauss to vice president of international business. Strauss, who has been with the company since its founding in 1996, was previously director of international business.

Speidel Inc. has announced two promotions and one new hire. Noel Bentley has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing. In her new role, she will be responsible for all aspects of the sales and marketing groups.

Peter V. Cipolla III has been promoted to director of marketing. He will concentrate on product diversification, public relations and advertising, branding, and marketing policy.

Charles Hanson has joined Speidel as director of business development. Hanson, who has 18 years of experience in sales and marketing, will focus on new product introduction in large mass markets and specialty retailers and will manage Speidel’s Minneapolis office.
