The Trophee Chopard, an award that encourages new talent and honors those who have recently entered the entertainment industry, went this year to Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and Kelly Reilly.

The award is presented by Chopard during the Cannes Film Festival.

Rhys-Meyers has starred in Bend It Like Beckham, directed by Gurinder Chadha; Vanity Fair, directed by Mira Nair; Alexander, directed by Oliver Stone; and Match Point, directed by Woody Allen. Reilly was nominated in 2004 for the Lawrence Olivier Best Actress Award for her performance in After Miss Julie. Reilly is currently starring in Pride and Prejudice, directed by Joe Wright, and Mrs. Henderson Presents, directed by Stephen Frears.

Each of the prizewinners was presented with a trophy: a gold film reel, created by Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, co-president and art director of Chopard, and crafted by the master jewelers of the house.

Past winners have included Audrey Tautou, Hayden Christensen, Diane Kruger, and Gael García Bernal.
