The World Diamond Congress launched its official website, which can be found at www.32-diamondcongress.org. The site was officially launched on March 13.

The congress, which is the official forum of the general assemblies of the international diamond sector’s two most important representative organizations—the World Federation of Diamond Bourses and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA)—will take place June 26-29 in the conference center of the beachfront Tel Aviv Hilton Hotel. This congress is expected to draw many hundreds of participants.

Yair Sahar, the Organizing Committee’s chairman emphasized that beyond the meetings of the various WFDB and IDMA forums, additional business related events were slated. “We’re putting the finishing touch to the organization of a session on financing in the diamond industry, and expect to bring together representatives of the leading international banks involved in our industry for a seminar. It is not often that such an opportunity comes along,” he stated.

Site users can register online for the event, book their hotels, and register for personal tours. The tentative agenda with WFDB-IDMA meetings and events can be consulted on the Web site.
