The tests simulate the tarnishing accelerants that can be encountered between manufacture and point of sale and during use, including high humidity, high temperature, sulfur, perspiration, ultraviolet light, and porosity. Packaging can also be tested to ensure that it is not introducing tarnishing accelerants.
