One man has been charged for six burglaries, with two accomplices racking up conspiracy charges for some of the thefts
Three people have been charged with a series of jewelry store break-ins in central New Jersey, according to MyCentralJersey.com.
Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey said that Michael Davis, Terrance Worthy, and Keir Dargon were charged Dec. 6—Davis with six counts of burglary, Dargon with two counts of conspiracy, and Worthy with one count of conspiring to commit a burglary. Davis’ bail was set at $195,000 and Dargon’s was set at $20,000; Worthy was released on his own recognizance.
Seventeen law enforcement agencies were involved in the investigation, which determined that, between June 7 and Dec. 6, Davis participated in six burglaries at jewelry stores in central New Jersey. The stores were located in Perth Amboy, Raritan, Lawrence, Denville, Flemington, and Hopewell.
In each burglary, Davis allegedly broke into the stores in the early morning hours and absconded with jewelry and watches. Carey said that the total value of the stolen goods was close to $1 million.
