Scull and Company has named Pierre Tardy director of Merchandising and Store Operations. Tardy will also council Scull clients on issues relating to display and will provide on-site and competitive shopping analysis.
Prior to joining Scull and Company, Tardy spent more than 25 years as the chief executive officer of Christian Bernard Stores in Secaucus, N.J., guiding their retail business from a middle-price concept to high-end guild stores located in lifestyle destination shopping centers. Under his leadership, other marketing initiatives were launched, including www.jeweltrends.com and www.engagementwatch.com.
“Pierre has been brought up through the ranks in the retail jewelry business from his beginning at Christian Bernard as sales manager until his appointment as CEO in 1980. He brings to Scull not only his years of experience but diverse experience – from dealing with wholesalers to every need of independent jewelry retailer,” said Joe Romano, president and CEO of Scull and Company. “We are honored to add this caliber of person to our staff.”
Founded in 1922, Scull and Company is the oldest jewelry retail management consultant group in the industry.
