JCK recently won two Eddie Awards and one Ozzie Award at a ceremony in New York. The Eddie Awards, sponsored by Folio magazine, honor editorial excellence, while the Ozzies honor design. Gold, silver, and bronze awards are given in each category.
Rob Bates, JCK senior editor, received a gold Eddie Award for his article “Whatever Became of Sierra Leone?” which appeared in the October 2006 issue of JCK magazine.
JCK Luxury magazine received two awards: a silver Eddie for its Winter 2007 issue, and a silver Ozzie for “Design Through the Decades” in its Summer 2006 issue. Carrie Soucy is the editor of JCK Luxury and Todd Gast is the art director.
Both Eddie Awards were for the Business to Business: Retail category of the program. The Ozzie award was in the category Best Feature Design: B-to-B Under 100,000 Circulation.
“These awards are a testament to the JCK editorial and art team’s talent and dedication to excellence,” said Hedda Schupak, JCK editor-in-chief and editorial director of JCK International Publishing Group. “Together, we’ve won nine Folio awards in the past seven years—four gold, four silver, and one bronze—all of which not only underscore JCK‘s leadership position as the undisputed industry authority but also prove that we truly do know how to serve up substance and style.”
