Luxury jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels will join Hermes, Christofle, and others in The Streets of Buckhead, a new luxury mixed-use development in Atlanta’s Buckhead district that is slated to open in Spring 2010. According to developer Ben Carter Properties, The Streets of Buckhead will feature more than 500,000 square feet of luxury streetscape retail, restaurant space, high-rise estate homes, and a hotel. Construction began in Fall 2007, with the grand opening slated for Spring 2010.
The retail district will feature many high-end brands from around the world in a streetscape rivaling the world’s great shopping boulevards; committed retailers include Hermes, Van Cleef & Arpels, , Oscar de la Renta, Loro Piana, Vilebrequin, Bottega Veneta, Etro, John Lobb, Optical Shop of Aspen and Domenico Vacca; restaurants include Le Colonial, The Capital Grille, Brioni, Japonais and La Goulue.
Data from Claritas reveals a 62 percent expected rate of growth of high net worth individuals over the next five years in Atlanta, that second highest in the nation. Atlanta ranks in the top ten of all American cities in total retail sales.
