Cécile R. Marquette, 48, gift and jewelry industry veteran, passed away on December 1st, after a three-year battle with rare Liposarcoma cancer. Marquette was a lively, energetic, business-minded individual who enjoyed a successful career in the gift and jewelry industries that spanned more than two decades.
Most recently, Marquette was executive vice president, sales & marketing, at MDS PRESTIGE Company, where she was deeply involved in all aspects of the business including product design and development. Before joining MDS Prestige Company, Marquette spent four years with REUGE MUSIC USA LTD as vice president, sales and marketing. Prior to her employment with Reuge, Marquette was sales manager for French & Pacific Trading Corporation, an importer of exclusive French collectibles. Marquette was active in the Women’s Jewelry Association Los Angeles Chapter for many years, during which time she was on the Board of Advisors and was Membership Chair.
Along with her husband, Marquette is survived by her mother and father, Simone and Jean-Lucien Royer who reside in France; her sisters, Christiane Puech and Agnes Davy, and several nephews and a niece also in France.
