Antiquorum’s fall auction of Important Modern & Vintage
Timepieces in New York yesterday sold 88 percent of its lots and brought in
$3,426,386.
The auction of 344 timepieces attracted 454 registered
online bidders in addition to the on-site, telephone, and commission bidders.
The highlight of the sale was the Audemars Piguet Jules
Audemars, an 18K white gold diamond wristwatch with one-minute tourbillon and
chronograph, which sold for $242,500.
A unique Jean Dunand with 12 complications, offered at
auction for the first time, sold for $212,500.
Breguet’s Tourbillon Skeleton Perpetual in platinum went for
$116,500, and an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon 25th anniversary
wristwatch sold for $110,500.
