Chamilia and Swarovski are teaming up to launch a co-branded bead collection that will be available in August 2011 in 400 Swarovski
stores worldwide, including in the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, United Kingdom, Germany,
France, Italy, and Switzerland. The collection will feature 205 silver—no gold—beads set with Swarovski crystals (no genuine gemstones at this time) in a
wide range of colors, including purples, greens, blues, colorless, black, and
warm hues like orange. All beads will range in price from $30 to $100; exact
pricing information for each bead is still determined.
The move aims to help Swarovski speak to the customizable
jewelry segment with a well-respected bead partner: privately held, 9-year-old
Chamilia, based in Minneapolis, distributed in 4,000 retail locations worldwide,
and with an inventory of more than 600 different beads.
