For jewelry lovers, the only holiday gift better than a piece of jewelry might be a swanky Advent calendar where each day provides a new surprise in gold, diamonds, or gemstones.
This year’s selection of jewelry Advent calendars ranges from a 12-pack of woven bracelets to a box full of solid gold jewels to a lavish engagement offering to Lark & Berry’s royal treatment, priced over $117,000. Here’s a look at some of these multipiece sets.
Ben Garelick
If you want a truly memorable way to pop the question, go with Ben Garelick’s limited-edition, 12-day Fine Jewelry Advent Calendar—a first-time offering for the Buffalo, N.Y.–based retailer.
“Each day, you open a little door to find a beautiful piece of jewelry, from some of the top designers,” says owner Peter Manka. “It’s our way of adding a bit of sparkle to the holiday season. We designed this especially for the repeat customer who comes in every year for a diamond necklace or a ring, and wanted to give them something truly spectacular. It’s a fun way to count down the days to Christmas.”
Calendar highlights include a Simon G. vintage-style emerald halo teardrop pendant (which sells for $4,100) and a Gabriel & Co. high polished chain link ring ($1,125). Since purchasers can fill the final box with one of three 1.5 ct. platinum engagement rings, available with either lab-grown or natural diamonds, total price for the calendar varies from $38,721 to $47,796.
“The big finale is what we’re most proud of,” Manka says. “On Christmas Day, you could choose to propose with one of three beautiful engagement rings, all uniquely designed by us at Ben Garelick.
“We’ve included both lab-grown and natural diamonds, so you can pick something that feels right for you. It’s about making the holiday memorable and personal, which is what we aim to help our customers do every day at Ben Garelick.”
Astrid & Miyu
For 2024, Astrid & Miyu offers three versions of its popular Advent calendar: 12-day, priced at $515; 24 days, for $1,030; and solid gold, with four jewels for $1,475.
The 12- and 24-day calendars contain a variety of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Their final day holds a gift voucher, which can be spent online or in-store, giving the recipient a choice of the brand’s best sellers or something uniquely selected to fill any gaps in their jewelry wardrobe.
Astrid & Miyu’s solid gold calendar features three pairs of earrings and a bracelet, all made from 9k gold with white topaz stones. It also includes a voucher the recipient can redeem to create their own personalized Story Chain charm bracelet or necklace.
Lark & Berry
Pay tribute to British elegance and give the gift of fine jewelry with a Lark & Berry Advent calendar, which has the shape of a U.K. phone booth and is available in four versions.
The interior of the special-looking package adds a bit of nostalgia to the holidays with its reminder of the classic dial telephone. The exterior can be personalized with the name of the recipient, as with “Calling Emily” shown above.
The four types of Lark & Berry calendar are Classic Dial, priced at $5,207; Diamond Call, at $11,724; Luxe Line, $24,758; and Royal Connection, at $117,297. (Classic and Diamond Call had sold out by press time.)
Pura Vida
A certified B Corp, Pura Vida dropped two December-centric Advent calendars for 2024—12 days, priced at $98, and a 24-day, for $148—as well as a year-round version, the 12 Months of Originals ($60).
Items in the Pura Vida calendars include bead, charm, and braided bracelets, hoop earrings, anklets, chokers, pendant necklaces, and hair accessories.
