Jewel360 Teams With GIA on Gemstone Tracking

Cloud-based point of sale (POS) software Jewel360 has partnered with GIA to offer a new gemstone inventory tracking service.

Using the GIA report provided with each gemstone, jewelers can scan the report or enter its number within Jewel360’s inventory system to access details about stone details and showcase the digital GIA report. This eliminates the need for retailers to do this process manually.

“Keeping track of gemstone details is traditionally a time-intensive process for jewelers and because of this is oftentimes forgone, making inventory information less accurate,” said Nick Gurney, general manager of Jewel360, in a statement. “The integration with GIA provides jewelers an easy way to track the details of their inventory, significantly improving their inventory knowledge and enabling them to better serve their customers.”

GET-Diamonds Relaunching Under New Management

The World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) is reintroducing B2B diamond marketplace GET-Diamonds.com, under a new licensing agreement with Sydney, Australia-based YourDiamonds.com.

Led by industry veteran and YourDiamonds.com founder Tim Goodman, the revamped platform will feature new state-of-the-art tech tools to make it easier for suppliers to upload inventory and for buyers to search for the diamonds they need.

“We are pleased to entrust the operations of GET-Diamonds to such an experienced and technologically advanced company, whose goals align with those of the WFDB,” said Moshe Salem, vice president of the federation, in a statement.

“We are honored and privileged to have been entrusted by the WFDB to operate the GET business,” said Goodman, also in a statement. “Our brief is to put service first. GET has over 29,000 approved members, and we want to make their lives easier and more profitable.”
