Rodeo Drive Hosts Weeklong Showcase of Watches and Fine Jewelry

Share

For jewelry lovers and industry members, the second annual Rodeo Drive Celebrates Timepieces & Fine Jewelry is a weeklong excuse to enjoy the legendary Beverly Hills shopping district.

The event—which runs Oct. 7 through 13—is a collaboration between the city of Beverly Hills, the Rodeo Drive Committee, and dozens of luxury jewelry and watch companies. Committee president Kay Monica Rose says their goal is to create an irresistible shopping opportunity that showcases fashion, fun, and entertainment along this famous street, home to more than 100 global luxury brands.

Coinciding with the jewelry and watch celebration is a Richard Orlinski exhibit by retailer Westime: a curated assortment of pieces from Swiss watchmaker Hublot’s partnership with the acclaimed French contemporary artist. Orlinski’s brightly colored resin animals have been positioned along the palm-tree-lined street since the Rodeo Drive Celebrates Fashion event in August.

Other highlights of this year’s Rodeo Drive Celebrates Timepieces & Fine Jewelry include a Cars and Coffee pop-up Oct. 11 (1 to 4 p.m.) at Auto Vault, with an artisanal coffee purveyor on-site as rare luxury vehicles are on display, and a private preview of Buccellati’s latest collections on Oct. 11 and 12, where Italian cookies and sparkling wine will be served.

In addition, Jaeger Le-Coultre will bring its Precious Pioneer traveling collection to its Rodeo Drive boutique and hold a watchmaking class. Mikimoto, Panerai, and Piaget are among the brands that will have exclusive pieces in-store, Rose says.

The Rodeo Drive Committee started in 1977 and since 1982 has been a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping its members—which include retailers, hoteliers, and property owners—maintain and foster the community around this iconic shopping destination, Rose says.

“We work continuously throughout the year to host specialized events to activate our world-famous street that offers a unique and exciting experience to all visitors,” Rose says.

This October event is aimed at bringing people in to kick off the holiday shopping season, Rose says. The group’s final event of 2024 will be a holiday lighting extravaganza in November.

“Rodeo Drive will always be a destination for luxury experiences. We are home to the world’s leading luxury brands, there are deep connections with art and culture here,” Rose says. “From the outstanding architecture, the one-of-a-kind art installations, to the iconic palm trees, Rodeo Drive is and will always be the intersection of luxury, fashion, and entertainment.”
