Jewelry Brands Focus Fundraising Power on Breast Cancer Awareness

Share

The National Breast Cancer Foundation says that more than 360,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024, and jewelers are doing their part to raise funds for research and support during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, beginning today.

In October, Gorjana is donating 50% of all sales of its limited-edition Pink collection to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), its longtime nonprofit partner. The collection features pink diamonds and gold, and it is available at all Gorjana locations and online.

“We are so excited to continue our partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to advance research for a cause that is important to so many women,” says brand cofounder Gorjana Reidel. “Our new designs in this year’s Pink collection are a symbol of women’s empowerment, and we are always grateful to our shoppers for joining us in raising awareness for breast cancer.”

Goldstories Breast Cancer
Goldstories Jewelry’s Boob pendant ($425) is the perfect jewel to wear for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

For its Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign, San Francisco–based Goldstories Jewelry will donate 10% of proceeds from its Boob pendant to the Breasties, a nonprofit that seeks to create community for people impacted by breast and gynecologic cancers.

Handcrafted from recycled 14k yellow gold and set with two ethically sourced rubies, the Boob pendant is both playful in celebrating the human body and serious as a symbol of empowerment and self-love, says Goldstories founder and designer Subikksha Balaje.

Charm specialist Jane Win has debuted pink accents in its Love Courage Strength collection, and will donate 20% of each pendant sale in October to the Breast Cancer Alliance. The Jane Win coin pendants come in two sizes—original (1.2 inches in diameter) and petite (just under an inch)—and are available in silver or gold-dipped silver, or in solid 14k gold with pink tourmalines swirled across or encircling the coin.

Other jewelry companies that are making donations to breast cancer advocacy groups this month include the Fete, which is giving 50% of its sales from its pink tourmaline heart stud and hoop to Susan G. Komen.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation will receive 20% of sales of Jonne Amaya‘s diamond cigar band, diamond initial huggies, LOML charm bracelet, and LOML pendant necklace. Additionally, fine jewelry brand Aurelia Demark is donating 15% of sales from its pink sapphire bow ring, Drip Drop ring, and medium Fleur pink sapphire earrings to the Pink Agenda during October.
