Alex Solider Hosts NYFW Event at Gallery Chang

At an event coinciding with the opening of New York Fashion Week, jewelry designer Alex Solider introduced his latest collection to a star-studded audience including Gossip Girl’s Lyne Renée, Lethal Weapon’s Johnathan Fernandez, and The Blacklist’s Hisham Tawfiq and Anya Banerjee.

The event, held at Gallery Chang in midtown Manhattan, was a celebration of art, fashion, and jewelry, Soldier said. Guests were treated to an exclusive tasting experience courtesy of Benoit Maillard, cofounder of Grande Charte champagne. Desserts were provided by the gallery’s Something Sweet Cafe, prepared by pastry chef Sung Jin Lee.

“It’s collaborations like these that contribute to the dynamic and ever-evolving landscape of the fashion industry, showcasing the endless possibilities when different forms of artistic expression come together,” said Maria Soldier, who represented her family’s brand and coproduced the event with celebrity stylist Andrew Cristi.

Stuller Celebrates Longtime Employees

Stuller feted the dedication and achievements of nearly 80 employees at its 2024 Milestone Anniversary Banquet, held Sept. 25 at Warehouse 535 in Lafayette, La., the city where Stuller is based.

The event honored staff members reaching 20, 30, 35, or 40-plus years of service with the jewelry manufacturing company.

“I’m incredibly proud of the effort and hard work these employees put in every day. They are all are heroes in my life,” said company founder Matt Stuller in a statement. “There are companies and great organizations all around the world doing what we do, but what sets us apart is our people.”

Kingswood Debuts Retail Fixture Program

The Kingswood Company, manufacturer of private-label jewelry care products, has announced it is now offering retailers spacious fixtures for showcasing jewelry care items in their stores.

“The fixture itself becomes a ‘silent salesperson’ in a retail store, and positions the product line as its own category, not an afterthought,” according to a company release. “This type of positioning for jewelry cleaning and care products also sets a tone for the retail sales staff, propelling them to sell the products and boosting add-on sales.”

“Our retail fixture program is innovative and new to the jewelry industry, but is based on a similar successful strategy of merchandising similar product lines, in similar categories,” said Pam Waclawski, Kingswood vice president of sales and marketing, in a statement.

“If you visit a shoe department in a specialty retailer or department store, you will almost certainly see a stand-alone fixture merchandising shoe care and cleaning products. This is a successful strategy that is proven and works, and we are excited to bring it to our jewelry retail customers this year.”

Three options are available in different footprints, for both private-label customers and those that stock Kingswood’s Clean + Care product line. For more information, see thekingswoodcompany.com.
