Montblanc Appoints Giorgio Sarné As New CEO

Share

Richemont-owned pen and watch brand Montblanc has named Giorgio Sarné, a veteran of Stuart Weitzman and TAG Heuer, as its new CEO.

For the past four years, Sarné served as brand president and CEO of Stuart Weitzman, part of Tapestry Group. He had been with Tapestry since 2013. Prior to that, he was Swiss general manager for TAG Heuer. He was also marketing manager for champagne brand Veuve.

He takes over from Nicolas Baretzki, who became Montblanc’s CEO in 2016 and left last year. In March, Baretzki became sales director for Christian Dior.

“Under Giorgio’s stewardship, Montblanc will continue to share its 118-year-old story and rich legacy of writing culture, leather craftsmanship and watchmaking in fresh and unexpected ways,” Philippe Fortunato, CEO of Richemont’s fashion and accessories maisons, said in a statement.
