HSN, the company better known as the Home Shopping Network, has appointed Rosalia Bucaro, a veteran of Rue Gilt Groupe and Bloomingdale’s, as its chief merchandising officer.
In her new role, Bucaro will guide merchandising, planning, programming, and business development across all HSN’s categories. She will focus her team on revitalizing HSN’s product assortment and forging dynamic celebrity partnerships.
For the past seven years, Bucaro served as executive vice president of Rue Gilt Groupe, where she oversaw all aspects of that e-tailer’s fashion assortment, including women’s, men’s, and kids’ divisions, as well as the European luxury division.
Prior to joining Rue Gilt Groupe, Bucaro held various senior positions in merchandising at Bloomingdale’s.
Bucaro will report to Stacy Bowe, president of HSN. HSN is owned by Qurate Retail Group, which also owns rival shopping network QVC. Ironically, Rue Gilt Groupe is also made up of two former rivals.
