Share

The Jewelers Vigilance Committee has named Liz Fraccaro as its new assistant counsel.

Fraccaro previously served as legal consultant for the Antiquities Coalition. There she directed its Financial Crimes Task Force, which gathered experts from the antiquities, banking, and legal sectors to develop ways to combat money laundering, forgery, fraud, and terrorist financing in the art and antiquities sector. In 2024 she became a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.

She graduated from Indiana University with bachelor’s degrees in anthropology and English literature in 2012, and earned an MA in Mediterranean archaeology from University College London in 2014. She is a graduate of DePaul University College of Law, and is admitted to practice law in Illinois and New York.

In her new role, Fraccaro will be engaged with all aspects of JVC’s legal work, including anti-money laundering regulations, sanctions compliance, legal research, and providing guidance to members regarding compliance obligations.

Sara Yood, who first joined JVC as assistant counsel, became its president, CEO, and general counsel in June.
