This fall, Saks Fifth Avenue is placing a huge bet on diamonds. Not just any diamonds, mind you, but some of the biggest, rarest yellow and colorless gems in the marketplace, all showcased to dazzling effect in Saks’ first-ever high jewelry collection.
Introduced on Aug. 26, the collection includes more than 200 pieces of mega-diamond jewelry, from solitaire rings up to 100 carats to tennis necklaces featuring mixed cuts in weighty carat sizes. Saks is also featuring a bespoke service, allowing customers to create their own one-of-a-kind pieces.
“Saks Fifth Avenue has long been known as a premier destination for jewelry, and the launch of our own high jewelry collection further reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional quality, as well as our dedication to inspiring customers through highly personalized experiences,” Tracy Margolies, Saks’ chief merchandising officer, tells JCK. “Luxury customers are continuously seeking timeless and one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces, and we look forward to delighting our customers with Saks Fifth Avenue’s modern take on high jewelry as well as our service-focused approach to this burgeoning category.”
The collection hits many top trends, even if it feels blasphemous to describe multimillion-dollar diamond jewels as trendy. There are numerous takes on tennis styles, in both necklaces and bracelets; an extremely chic collar of cushion-shape diamonds set in gold covered with black enamel (pictured below); a bunch of pieces featuring medleys of mixed cuts; and heart shapes galore.
Our personal favorite is the 18k yellow gold bypass cuff necklace loaded with more than 16 carats of cushion-cut yellow diamonds, pictured below. Diamonds—but make it fashion!
