Rod St. Michel, a former vice president at Diamond Foundry, has joined LGD in Tech—the new group that aims to educate the tech industry about potential uses of lab-grown diamonds—as director of strategic partnerships.
St. Michel has experience in both the tech and lab-grown diamond sectors. In addition to serving as Diamond Foundry’s vice president of global sales, he has worked for such companies as Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Netgear, and Sonos.
In a statement, LGD in Tech cofounder and CEO Liz Chatelain said that in his new role, St. Michel will increase the group’s membership of diamond growers and help them forge new partnerships in the tech industry.
“After our first tech trade show last month, Semicon West in San Francisco, we were inundated with interest from tech companies who wished to collaborate with diamond growers,” she said.
