Wimbledon is an event to see and be seen at, hitting that sweet spot between style and sport. And wristwatches tend to be the accessory of choice for competitors and spectators alike—a way to make a subtle yet significant fashion statement.
Rolex has been the official timekeeper for the U.K. tennis tournament for nearly 50 years, and there were plenty of Rolexes at this year’s tournament, on the wrists of men’s singles champion Carlos Alcaraz and, in the stands, Tom Cruise, Patrick Mahomes, and others.)
Other watchmakers’ designs were also spotted on site. Pierce Brosnan wore his rare vintage Girard-Perregaux (his “knees were shaking” when he purchased it, the onetime James Bond told British GQ), while David Beckham chose a more casual style with fabric strap, by Tudor.
These timepieces symbolize the heritage and excellence associated with Wimbledon. Here are some of the men’s watches worn at the tourney over the weekend, with links to where you might get your own.
