You say, “Cool hoop earrings”; I say, “Where?!”
With today’s arrival in the hoops category, the answer to that question is So-Le Studio. The latest addition to the Maria Sole Ferragamo–helmed brand’s Trucioli collection, these Swirl earrings add color and texture to the classic hoop style—at a yummy price that makes it easier to potentially wear a whole bunch in your ears (and makes it less painful to not be able to choose a favorite color).
The gold-plated earrings are made primarily from brass and copper, with spiraling detail that sprawls the length of the hoop’s arc hand-enameled in an array of colors—ivory, celeste, navy blue, cypress, or red.
I love the tranquility of the celeste variation, a sky blue that’s just a whisper of color. But the bold Orient red and navy blue are standouts any day, and the ivory is a fantastic neutral for those who don’t play with too much color or want something especially versatile.
“Each piece is a small, animated vortex, reflecting So-Le Studio’s passion for architectural shapes as design inspiration,” says a press release about the earrings.
The earrings are made with metal shavings recovered from machines that produce handbag hardware. Using leftover materials from Milanese workshops, including her family’s famous shoe brand, is a So-Le hallmark.
Priced at just over $300 per pair, the made-in-Italy Swirl earrings from So-Le Studio are fresh out of the gate, and just the thing to spice up our summer! So-Le jewelry is also available at fashion and design e-commerce site Moda Operandi.
