If you’re headed to the jewelry shows in Las Vegas at the end of the month (wow, it’s all happening this month!), you’ll want to pay a visit to Alishan at Luxury by JCK.
I’ve been a fan of the family-owned brand for as long as I can remember, particularly because of the way its jewelry seamlessly blends two, sometimes three, different metals in harmonious, old-meets-new designs. Owner and designer Alishan Halebian and his wife, Lydia Tutunjian, have cultivated a signature aesthetic combining Armenian heritage with American style that makes their offerings instantly recognizable.
Utilizing such materials as rich 18k yellow gold and blackened silver, along with vivid, delectable colored gemstones and diamonds, Alishan creates wearable works of art. The company has given us a sneak peek at the jewels visitors can expect to see in their booth (#401A) at Luxury this year.
“Our latest pieces are a continuation of our collection that is inspired by nature,” Tutunjian tells JCK. “The fabrication of different metal colors in our designs, along with the blue gemstone hues, contribute to the play of lights in these pieces.
“We’ve had very good shows at Luxury by JCK for the last few years, and are looking forward to having another strong show this year with our new pieces,” she says. “We will be exhibiting several additions to the existing collections and many one-of-a-kind pieces. We are looking forward to seeing our existing customers, meeting new retail store representatives, and starting long-lasting relationships, and as always feeling the beat of the industry.”
From a company that has honed its design DNA, Tutunjian offers this bit of advice to creators showcasing their work in Vegas this year for the first time: “Most new brands and designers start making jewelry because they are creative. Our advise is to stay true to your own inspirations, don’t be afraid to be different, and help customers to understand and appreciate your voice in your brand.”
