The Yellow Rose, an unmounted 202.28 ct. fancy intense colored diamond from South Africa, leads Christie’s first live jewelry sale of the year, Magnificent Jewels, taking place May 15 at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues in Geneva (the same space where Christie’s held its first auction in 1969).
The sale will feature oversize colored stones, including emeralds, sapphires, and rubies; art deco designs; diamond jewels; and jewelry—some signed—from premier houses and makers, among them Cartier, Buccellati, Van Cleef & Arpels, Georges Fouquet, Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co., Taffin, and Rubel Frères.
Below is a look at a few of the upcoming sale’s highlights.
