The 2025 American Gem Society Conclave will be held in conjunction with the GIA Symposium, a research and educational event that GIA holds every five to seven years.
The combined event, titled Converge, will take place Sept. 7–10, 2025, at GIA’s campus (pictured) in Carlsbad, Calif., and the nearby Omni La Costa resort.
The AGS Conclave will return as an independent entity in 2026, but will remain in September. The event has previously been held in April. In 2026, it will shift to a Monday-to-Thursday schedule, from its traditional Sunday–Wednesday.
Both AGS and GIA were founded by Robert M. Shipley. The organizations plan to offer additional details about the 2025 Converge soon, said a statement.
The 2026 AGS Conclave will be held from Sept. 14 to 17 at the Omni ChampionsGate, an 800-acre resort near Orlando, Fla., just six miles from Walt Disney World, the group’s CEO Katherine Bodoh tells JCK by email.
