Tanishq just opened a store in the Chicago area, the Indian jewelry brand’s fourth in the United States.
The store, located at 4300 E. New York St. in Aurora, Ill., will showcase 2,000 exclusive designs, including a collection suitable for both work and social occasions.
Last year Tanishq opened stores in Iselin, N.J., Houston, and Frisco, Texas.
The brand’s Feb. 29 opening attracted Richard C. Irvin, the mayor of Aurora; Somnath Ghosh, India’s consul general in Chicago; and Kuruvilla Markose, CEO of Titan International Business, Tanishq’s parent company.
In a statement, Markose said the new store will “cater not only to the Indian diaspora but also to the broader American and international communities residing in [Chicago].”
The Chicago area is home to the second-largest Indian American population of all metropolitan areas in the United States, behind New York City.
Tanishq has over 420 stores, mostly in India, with locations in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Singapore as well.
