Jennifer Fisher Receives Investment From Centric Brands

Share

Centric Brands has invested in Jennifer Fisher, the New York City-based jewelry company that’s become a celebrity favorite.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Jennifer Fisher declined comment on whether Centric is now a majority or minority owner.

Jennifer Fisher will become part of Centric’s jewelry portfolio, which includes such brands as Robert Lee Morris, Kurt Geiger, Bestey Johnson, and Coach.

Jarrod Kahn, accessories group president for Centric, said in a statement, “Together, Jennifer and the Centric team will continue to expand the Jennifer Fisher brand by expanding her existing jewelry business and delivering new product categories.”

Jennifer Fisher launched her company in 2006, after designing a dog tag with her son’s name and becoming inundated with requests. She opened her first store, in Beverly Hills, in 2020 and a second store, in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood, two years later.

The brand recently started offering lab-grown diamonds again. It had first used lab-created gems in 2018.

Centric Brands filed for Chapter 11 in May 2020, blaming the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. It emerged from bankruptcy six months later with support from new majority sponsor Blackstone.
