Share

Seven-store chain Lugano Diamonds & Jewelry has appointed Joshua Gaynor president.

Moti Ferder, who cofounded the high-end jewelry company with wife Idit, remains Lugano’s CEO.

Gaynor has nearly two decades of luxury brand experience. Most recently he was managing director of high jewelry for Bulgari North America. Prior to that, he served as vice president of marketing and communications for Fendi, as well as director of marketing and communications at Bottega Veneta.

In his new role, Gaynor will work with Ferder to lead the company’s day-to-day business operations and growth strategies, while focusing on sales, marketing, and client experience. He will also oversee Lugano’s private member club, Lugano Privé.

Lugano has salons in Newport Beach, Calif.; Aspen, Colo.; Houston; Palm Beach, Fla.; Ocala, Fla.; Washington, D.C.; and Greenwich, Conn. It expects to open its first international location in London, in April.

Compass Diversified, a Westport, Conn.–based investment firm that owns midsize businesses, purchased a majority stake in Lugano in 2021.

In January, Lugano gave a presentation to Compass investors at its Newport Beach headquarters, which can be seen here.
