On March 1, Vrai, the lab-grown diamond jewelry brand owned by Diamond Foundry, introduced a chic capsule collection of 14k gold jewelry designed by the celebrity stylists Petra and Meehan Flannery.
In the capsule’s minimalist yet bold styling as well as its use of diamonds—the 15 pieces feature eight distinct diamond shapes, including unusual cuts such as kites and shields—the Flannery sisters, whose clients include Emma Stone, Zoe Saldana, and Reese Witherspoon, have created a range of fashion diamond jewels inspired by their native California that are stylish, timeless, and eminently wearable.
And with retail prices running from $2,400 to $22,100, the Vrai x Petra & Meehan Flannery Collection is no low-cost budget offering. What the range makes clear is that with attractive domed gold designs featuring specially cut gems (created at Diamond Foundry’s facility in the Pacific Northwest), lab-grown jewels can rise above the value debate and stand on their own luxury merits.
“These pieces can be worn across years and generations,” according to a statement from Petra and Meehan Flannery. “We want people to feel empowered, and that these pieces are enhancing their beauty. We also want people to feel the energy of the powerful—and renewable—river which is used in the creation of the diamond.”
Vrai’s collaboration with the Flannerys includes hoop earrings, huggies, bangles, bands, and a glam collar necklace accented with a single drop diamond. In addition to classic cuts like round, oval, pear, and half-moon, the jewels feature kite, lozenge, hexagon, and shield shapes. Lab-grown or mined, these styles are chic regardless of their origin.
