The Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) has appointed Nikia Levesque vice president of the WJA Foundation.
The WJA Foundation is the association’s philanthropic arm, meant to further the group’s mission to provide women in the jewelry and watch industries with educational and business opportunities.
Levesque currently serves as vice president of marketing for Day’s Jewelers. She began working at Day’s in high school, in its service department.
The WJA also announced several new board members: Brittany Merrill, general merchandise manager and division vice president for Helzberg Diamonds; Elda Fistani, vice president retail sales at Gabriel & Co.; Tracey Carswell, founder of Powerful in Pink and cofounder of Queer Metalsmiths; Melissa Rodgers, director business development for M. Schamroth & Sons; and Robert J. Goldberg, senior vice president for business development, Citizen Watch America.
Two board members are moving into officer roles: Mariel Diaz, founder and managing director of Accounting for Jewelers, will become the WJA’s treasurer, while Kendra Bridelle, CEO of the Bridelle Collective and luxury brand strategist for Accelarise, will serve as vice president of chapter affairs.
