Self-purchase brand Mejuri has confirmed that it plans to open about 20 more stores next year.
In an article published Thursday, founder and CEO Noura Sakkijha told Forbes that Mejuri—which was originally a digital-only brand—hopes to have 50 brick-and-mortar stores by the end of 2024. It currently has 29, including five that opened this year.
Upcoming openings will include Bellevue, Wash.; Cherry Creek, Colo.; Chestnut Hill, Mass.; Short Hills, N.J.; and Palo Alto, Calif. Those would mark the company’s eighth store in California, second in the Seattle area, and third in the Boston area.
Sakkijha told Forbes that Mejuri’s in-store customers generate an average 38% higher lifetime value than those who shop online, as in-person clients shop more frequently and spend more.
The Toronto-based company has also introduced its first lab-grown line, featuring diamonds that are certified Sustainability Rated by SCS Global Services.
A spokesperson declined to comment on whether the brand plans to go public. In 2020, prior to the pandemic, Sakkijha reportedly said she planned an IPO that year.
