As the busy holiday shopping season approaches, retailers will look to put the finishing touches on their most gift-worthy selections.
Charms and pendants—the two can in many instances be used interchangeably—are the ultimate collectible jewelry item, making them ever so salable and a good bet for retailers beefing up their holiday stock.
With no sizing to worry about and an ever-imaginative variety available, charms are an easy choice for the holiday shopper and self-purchaser alike. The only downside is they may require a trip to the jeweler to get properly installed on one’s bracelet or necklace—but it’s well worth the effort to build a wearable, personable collection. Jewelers might provide free soldering with purchase, and, when possible, do it on-the-spot for those adding to a piece they’re currently wearing.
Should a wearer be looking for less commitment to a given charm, consider ways to offer more flexible wear: A charm catcher, for example, lets the wearer mix and match their array to their heart’s content, easily sliding off and on the desired combination as often as they please. For more whimsy, might we suggest dangling a charm from a huggie earring, as long as it fastens properly, of course—you wouldn’t want to risk losing such a lovely purchase!
Below (and above) are some of the newest charms and pendants to come to market, a stunning assortment to please almost anyone.
