It’s September 1—Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) season is here. Never mind that we haven’t yet passed Labor Day weekend; for some, the real introduction to fall is PSL’s annual reappearance.
Whether you live for them or just like them a little, can’t stand the taste or haven’t even tried it, no one can avoid PSL season. And it’s not just the coffee concoction made famous by Starbucks—pumpkin spice is everywhere. From doughnuts and cookies (Oreos now come in a pumpkin spice version) to candles and hand soap to fall fashions, there’s a bit of this seasonal staple wherever you look.
U.K. jeweler Angelic Diamonds has created the perfect piece for the most avid pumpkin spice, and it would delight any autumn lover. Customizable through Angelic’s bespoke design service, the orange sapphire and diamond ring looks good enough to eat (er, drink).
With a warm rose gold band and a halo of orange sapphires in a claw setting, Angelic Diamonds’ wearable Pumpkin Spice Latte resembles that steamy (or iced) cup of autumn goodness. A cluster of white diamonds sits within the orange halo, looking like a dollop of whipped cream when viewed from the side. From above, the diamonds have more of a flower appearance, a welcome sight for fall.
Along the band, emeralds and orange sapphires—along with diamonds—display the changing colors of leaves, just the right finishing touch.
What I love about this ring: While a whimsical nod to one of fall’s most obsession-worthy elements, it can also be seen simply as an autumnal-hued, sparkling gemstone design. Even those who’d rather order their coffee black can appreciate the piece for its festive presence without going heavy on the pumpkin (though the inscription on the band’s interior does read “Pumpkin Spiced”).
